My interest in design began with cartoons. Cartoons inspired me to draw. I knew from an early age that I wanted to do something with art when I grew up.
After obtaining my BFA, I joined the newspaper world, helping coordinate page production as part of a team. I learned to work in service of the constant deadlines a daily publication creates. A segue from the newsroom into the advertising department remained a deadline-driven atmosphere, but offered a focus on images and graphics.
Today, I work for a Fortune 500 company designing sales and marketing collateral, ads, presentations, exhibit booths, and any other needs that arise. And I still gravitate toward vivid color and bold lines, just as they held my attention as a child.
